Synopsis[]
Author Notes []
“This is a very focused chapter. About 85% of it revolves pretty directly around Rain and/or Gavin.” You know, except this first part that starts with Maria and Rudy. You won’t be seeing a lot of them this chapter, so I thought it’d be fun to at least let them open it up.
In the sixth panel, Maria speaks in italics (much like how Rain does just about all the time). Since the italics are meant to depict “not their natural voice”, it really just means Maria’s talking kinda weird here. I imagine an exaggerated “wannabe Shakespearian” kind of voice… if that makes any sense at all.

I'm surprised you let Rain go with him. I thought for sure you'd be all against it.
I know she wants to be friends with Gavin, so it's not really my choice. I don't like that he keeps making her cry, but if she still trusts him after all that, then I do too.
You know... He likes her.
Oh, yeah? | |||
That... | |||
...was kind of a boring response.
Oh, I'm sorry. What I meant to say was...
Oh, woe is me! if Gavin likes Rain, then where is there room for Maria? How ever will I survive upon hearing this most scandalous of revelations!?
Is that better? | |||
Also not what I expected. Who are you and what have you done with my sister?
